Spain Plane
Well, we made it!
I’d be lying if I didn’t say Sunday was grueling at times. Though, overall it wasn’t too bad. It was a day of hurry up and wait.
It all started at 2am when James decided he no longer wanted to sleep. It took about an hour to get him down and then we were up Our cab to the Madrid airport.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever flown out of terminal four at Madrid this was my first time. Wow what an experience from the check-in to the escalators to security and immigration on the way out of the country. The whole thing felt convoluted and like something from a scene from Brazil.
We made it just in time however we were able to board our flight and outside of the half hour of circling at Heathrow. It was pretty smooth.
Again at Heathrow, we were right on time not much to spare, but we made it. The flight was long James at times was antsy but overall I have to say it was pretty smooth 9 1/2 hours somehow felt like seven days but we made it through.
Now we’re back home getting settled in. I think our jet lag has cleared up and we’re thankful for the time that we had.
It was honestly a wonderful trip. James is a rockstar. He was moving and grooving. We got to see a lot of great art eat some fantastic food. Spend time with family 10 out of 10 would do again.
